Deathseeker - Prologue: Life and Death - Page 2
There is silence, whiteness, emptiness. There is no storm, no village, no chaos. She questions. Death answers.
Note: Use of rectangular narrative boxes instead of speech bubbles.
Panel 1: Whiteness. “She’s gone.” (Top left box) “I can’t feel her presence anymore.” (Bottom right box)
Panel 2: A single small silhouette/figure with a long shadow in a wide expanse of white, looking upwards. “Why do you take her away?” “She has done no wrong.” “She has the right to live.”
Panel 3: Close up on legs, with shadow still sprawling behind. “Take them away instead.”
Panel 4: Tilt up to body, mid-waist. Clenched fists. “Take those who would take other’s lives for pleasure.”
Panel 5: Tilt up to face, determined, tearing, angry, still looking upwards. “Take them away and let them burn.”
Panel 6: Collapses/sits onto the ground and sobs, face in hands.
Panel 7: Movement, swirl/swish of dark robes. (may merge with panel 8 as a long panel if it is smoother)
Panel 8: Close up of hand on scythe/staff(?) “You amuse me, child.”
