Deathseeker - Class - Shamans

Shamans are powerful spirit magic users, and also act as a conduit between the living and the dead. They do not worship any gods, but pay their respects to Death, the one that controls the passage of all spirits to the netherworlds. As such, they are able to commune with the spirits of the recently departed, or those who have yet to be reborn.

In many tribes, shamans help to ease the pain of loss. Some also serve as healers and deal with the occasional hex and undead. Due to their close relationship with nature and the type of herbal cures they prescribe, it is inevitable that they are sometimes labelled as nature lovers, and nature itself is often manifested in their spirit guardians.

However, not all shamans peace-loving, as exemplified by Maruak shamans. These shamans are adept at wielding spirit magic for destructive purposes, often trapping the spirits of the fallen to further enhance their magics. Besides the Maruaks, it is not uncommon to find shamans with realigned goals that serve as sellswords, explorers, or other occupations. They have spirit guardians that manifest differently, often in interesting and bizarre forms.

All shamans have one thing in common, they practice the principles of The Cycle of Life and Death, as they draw their power from spirits and death.
