Deathseeker - History - House T'soin If the Hansou are the aristocrats of the military, the T’soin are the common rabble. Often regarded as the lower-class brothers of the Hansou, House T’soin is the war grunt of the City. They look after the City defences with support from House Ya’i, and are sent for common skirmishes that are not befitting the attention of House Hansou. In large campaigns, Hansou troops are often sent to lead the front, but once the fighting begins and the enemy puts up a resistance, T’soin troops are sent in to beef up the war efforts and finish the job. This has led to the common grumble among T’soin troops that the Hansou take all the glory, but the T’soin do all the dirty work. T’soin troops are a passionate bunch, and enjoy fighting as much as they enjoy drinking. They are encouraged to fight for what they believe in, no matter the cost. While their Hansou brothers prefer cavalry, there’s nothing a T’soin likes better than a good brawl on the ground, leading to greater use of heavy knights over cavalry. In battle, T’soin heavy knights are a fearsome bunch, and can quickly cut through large swathes of enemy troops. Even T’soin cavalry dismount after initial manoeuvres to join the fray on foot, as they like the view ‘up close’. Legend has it that Hansou and T’soin were once the same House, but split due to differences between the two leading brothers. One believed in maintaining the dignity and honour of the Hansou knights, following their code of conduct to the letter, while the other believed in fighting for passion in the intuitive right and the common good of the peasants. Their rivalry continues to this day, leading to many amusing antics during the Council meetings and even on the battlefield. T’soin spirit knights are similar to Hansou spirit knights in most aspects, but select from a wider variety of weaponry like heavy axes, ball hammers and halberds. These offer more ‘fireworks and splatter’ in battle, to quote a T’soin. T’soin take advantage of their nigh impenetrable armour to take their equivalent of a stroll in the park, slowly indulging in the glorious view of their bloody handiwork, cutting down enemies in a leisurely but gruesome fashion. T’soin armour features a darker and more fearsome undertone to its design, and are coloured a matt black to reflect their distaste for Hansou showiness. Some senior commanders don dark maroon armours as a mark of their battle experience and the massive amount of enemy blood spilled on the armour. T’soin ranks are imprinted on the left breast of their armour. (This section is incomplete.
